We’re all super busy – whether it’s working full-time, raising a family, running errands, or all of the above, it seems that we’re often short on time.  Somewhere in there, you’re also supposed to take care of yourself and your health too.  What if you want to lose weight?  What if you find that you’re running around all day, skipping meals, and you have an extra layer or two hanging around your middle that you just can’t get rid of?  Believe it or not, having healthy snacks and eating more often during the day could be the key, not only to weight loss, but to managing your hunger and increasing your energy all day.

Typically, the body likes fuel every 3 hours, starting with breakfast, to really boost the metabolism and burn more calories all day long.  I can’t tell you the COUNTLESS NUMBER OF CLIENTS I’ve worked with that have lost weight and kept it off simply by eating more often during the day!  One client lost 42lbs in 2 months and 65lbs total and has kept it off for over 3 years….. simply be eating every 3 hours.

  • Veggies with hummus
  • Greek yogurt
  • Apples
  • Bananas
  • Grapes
  • Any fruit, really :)
  • Unsalted nuts
  • Nut butter like peanut, almond, or cashew butter on a piece of whole-grain toast or rice crackers
  • String cheese
  • Guacamole and some unsalted tortilla chips
  • 1/2-1 sliced avocado
  • Chicken, turkey, or any portable protein
  • Hard-boiled eggs
  • Protein shake (put the protein powder in a shaker bottle and add water later)
  • Individual cottage cheese (watch the sodium)
  • Any many more!
